“In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”
My name is Muriel Teague and this is the story of the life in my years.
I was born in New York City. It’s where I took my first feeble steps, where I nurtured dreams for the future, where I made plans for a life that was to be. I was, am, and always will be a NYC girl. It was the only place I truly considered home.
This was the second phase of my life. It was a time for action, not dreams, a time for enterprise, not plans. I attended West Wood College in Atlanta and earned a degree in Business Administration. This was the beginning of a 20-year-old a journey, a journey of dealing with and helping people through marketing, sales, and customer service experiences. It was then that I learned to truly listen to what people tried to express instead of just hearing what they had to say. I learned to perceive the desires of my clients, not just to understand the needs of the customer, but to deliver exactly what’s valuable to them.
This was when my life shifted gears again. After living for ten years in Atlanta, it was time to move somewhere near the DC area. Why, you ask? I wanted a new life for myself. I chose to chase an opportunity for the better future for my family and my husband, who is a US veteran. And that opportunity took me to Northern Virginia.
After moving to Virginia, I decided to do what I did best in sales. I helped people find their dreams like I found mine. I became a realtor. It fills me with a deep sense of pride to think that, every day at my job, I help people find their dream homes at affordable prices. I feel proud of my drive and patience in dealing with others. But, above all, I feel proud that I stand for honesty and integrity.
I enjoy discovery.
- Travelling to exotic places.
- Meeting and getting to know newer people.
- Learning more about different cultures.
My life has been a roller coaster of highs and lows. I fought an uphill battle of losing 140 pounds and won. So eating healthy and maintaining good dietary habits is important to me. And I want to spread this message to everyone I know. This is what I do. I have influenced many of my friends and family to lose weight and exercise, no matter how difficult it may seem (I still dread exercising at times).
My other passions include fashion, deco, art, and shop. I love to dine. To me, there’s nothing better than spending time with my hubby with a glass of wine in hand, dining out. I value the time we spend together, enjoying a home-cooked meal. I love to cook and entertain. I get along very well with people. Perhaps this is why open houses and selling homes are my specialties.
I’m also a proud parent and a happy owner of three crazy dogs.
